Here at Tomiya Ryokan, we accommodate many groups travelling on school trips.
Our convenient location, 1 minute from Kyoto station, is perfect for sightseeing and shopping.
Unlike hotels, students can experience the cozy authentic Japanese style Ryokan atmosphere and hospitality for an unforgettable memory of their school excursion.
Interior and Facilities
・Building structure: Building structure: 8 Floors plus basement of reinforced concrete. (with elevator) There are 19 out of 21 Japanese style rooms with bath and toilets available. The other 2 Western style rooms are equipped with showers.
・Facility capacity: can accommodate 120 persons with a space of 1.5 Tatami mats per person or 90 persons with a space of 2.
・Air conditioning: Fully equipped air-conditioning systems
・Emergency exits: 2 Escape stair wells available inside and outside accessible on each floor.
・Baths: There are 2 communal baths in the facility and one private bath in each guestroom.
・Fire precautions: Automatic fire alarms, ionization smoke detector, fire extinguisher and evacuation lights placed on each floor. Vending machines: Available on 1st floor (Juice etc.)
・Meals: Breakfast and dinner served in communal dining hall for big groups.
・Footwear Cubbies to store your shoes are available. Please use slippers while in the facility.
・Transportation: Pick-up and drop-off will be at the front entrance of Tomiya Ryokan.
・Hospital: Takeda hospital is located very close by.
